Our hugely popular Candlelight Concert series returns as part of Open Air at the Square over three magical evenings, each night featuring a different original artist. 

Let us introduce you to the smooth and soulful sounds of rising R&B artist Dean Brady – as he performs live under the night sky, surrounded by thousands of twinkling candles and backed by city’s iconic skyline.  

Bring a picnic blanket and rally your friends to enjoy a very special evening of original live music – free, all-ages and by candlelight.  

About Dean Brady 

Descended from the Gugu Yalanji and Birrigubba people, as well as the Matabele of Zimbabwe, Dean Brady is one of Australia’s most exciting new voices in contemporary R&B. His debut album, Dean’s Home, was released in October 2025, and is warm, groove-soaked reflection on love, memory and identity, stitched together by the rising star’s unmistakable voice and soulful instincts. With a sound that nods to the Motown greats he grew up idolising, Brady carves out a fresh, future-facing space in Australian R&B that is all his own.
