City Sessions Street Dance Battle
The battle is back. The beats are bigger. City Sessions brings together the best street dancers from across Australia and Southeast Asia for an epic showcase of street dance culture across two days.
City Sessions is one of Australia’s most anticipated street dance events, where the best of the best show off their moves – and battle it out to live beats.
This year, City Sessions expands internationally through a new collaboration with Bad Vibes Festival in Bangkok, co-curated with Thai creative collective Thrixept.
Winners of City Sessions will receive a guest spot at Bad Vibes Festival in 2026. And you, the audience gets to help decide who makes it through!
Come on the Saturday to catch the preliminary finals in The Edge, then on Sunday – the finalists will take to the Fed Square Main Stage for the final showdown.

Saturday 21 February, 4pm–6.30pm | The Edge
Before the main event, street and club dancers will battle it out to see who gets a coveted spot on the Fed Square stage at the Prelims!
This event will feature thrilling freestyle battles, where dancers improvise and react to each other’s moves and the rhythm of unexpected music.
Sunday 22 February, 4pm–8pm | Main Stage
It’s the best battling the best – don’t miss the final showdown, where you can help decide the winners. Expect an electric atmosphere filled with street dance battles, showcases and live DJ sets that capture the energy and artistry of Australia’s street dance community.
