The three-day long Buddha’s Day and Multicultural Festival is back at Fed Square bringing together arts, music, and multicultural performances.
Join for the Light it Up Opening Ceremony on Friday 19 May from 6.30pm, featuring cultural performances from the Chinese Youth Society of Melbourne and National Boys Choir as well as traditional Buddhist ceremonies and guest speakers. The Opening Ceremony culminates with an incredible multi-media fireworks display bringing the iconic square to life.
Across the weekend visitors can participate in cultural ceremonies and performances. Enjoy guided meditation, including the popular tea meditation in the Lotus Flower Sanctuary or visit the Mindfulness Forest and bathe the Buddha in the beautiful Lumbini Garden. Kids can learn the art of lion dancing or engage in face painting and giant bubble blowing. Over at the Fed Square Main Stage, all ages will enjoy the impressive lineup of performances from Victoria’s best multicultural groups.
