Australia Day - Public Holiday Program
This January 26 public holiday, head to Fed Square for a full day of free family fun, live entertainment and hands-on creativity.
The Main Stage will come alive with high-energy performances from Zindzi and the Zillionaires, a feel-good DJ set from Winston Surfshirt, and a special appearance from everyone’s favourite blue heeler, Bluey, bringing big smiles to little fans throughout the day.
In the afternoon, kids can unleash their creativity in our Fizz Kids Maker Space workshop, where they can design and race their own kinetic movers, craft a colourful Drip Bear keyring, or mix and squish their way through the ever-popular Slime Lab.
Across the Square there’ll be face painting, and roving performers including Slinkies, Shaggies, Bubbles and giant cuddly animals will keep the energy high and the little ones entertained.
Fuel up with a free snag from Absolute Bangers, and catch the Australian Open on the Big Screen as the action continues into the afternoon.

- 11am–3pm*: Free Sausages from Absolute Bangers (*or until exhausted)
- 11am–5pm Roving Characters – Bubbles, Shaggies, Slinkies, Giant Bear and Giant Koala, and Face Painting
- 2pm–2.40pm: Zindzi and the Zillionaires
- 3pm–6pm: AO on Big Screen

- 7pm–10pm: AO Night games screening
The Edge
- 11 am–3pm: Fizz Kidz interactive workshops. Create drip bear key rings, friendship bracelets, bubble makers, bath bombs and rainbow frisbees.
