Enjoy a 7-hour line-up of free entertainment, dance and workshops.

Come join in a celebration of older Victorians, and their friends and families. Celebration Day welcomes and encourages all to enjoy and engage in wonderful performances.

Fed Square will come to life with entertainment featuring the passion and talents of mainly older artists. Enjoy music, dance and workshops across the Main Square, Birrarung Marr Stage and Zinc Studio.

To celebrate 100 years of Table Tennis Victoria there will also be a pop-up table tennis activation. Get tips from ambassadors representing member clubs from across the state.

Celebration Day program

Tai Chi, 12pm–12.30pm | Main Square
Unwind, move, connect. Join Tai Chi instructor, Jack Yang, to experience the calming power of this gentle exercise. No experience necessary and all ages welcome.

Line dancing, 12.30pm–1pm | Main Square
Join in a vibrant dance activity with the Victorian Line Dance Association. Line dancing can enhance physical and mental wellbeing – and is great fun for everyone.

Interactive ukulele performance, 1pm–1.50pm | Main Square
Ukulele players of all ages from across the state come together to share a concert of their favourite tunes. Play along or enjoy the show.

Official opening of the 2025 Victorian Seniors Festival, 2pm–2.40pm | Main Square
Welcome to Country – presented by Dr Mandy Nicholson and Djirri Djirri Cultural Services. Festival launch by Minister for Ageing, Ingrid Stitt MP.

deborahN and Friends, 2.40pm–3.25pm | Main Square
deborahN is a singer-songwriter whose music weaves stories from life and from the imagination. Her style embraces indie rock, soul, gospel and Indigenous RnB.

The Royal High Jinx, 3.45pm–4.35pm | Main Square
Join the band for some gypsy jazz, Latin Balkan and swing rhythms with a touch of folk cabaret. Singing and dancing is encouraged!

The Swinging Sixties, 4.55pm–5.50pm | Main Square
Enjoy hits from great female artists of the 60s with pop/rock singer songwriter and performer Wendy Stapleton. Featuring popular songs from Petula Clark, The Ronettes, Dusty Springfield and more.

Groove Dimension, 6.10pm–7pm | Main Square
A 10-piece big band performing the anthems of Earth, Wind & Fire, KC & The Sunshine Band, The Jacksons & many more.

Zinc Studio, 12pm–5pm | Zinc
This space is dedicated to showcasing community performance. Discover all the ways people connect to their passion through voice. Listen to opera, music theatre, acapella and barber-shop style vocals.

Birrarung Marr Stage + Stallholder Alley, 12pm–5pm | Birrarung Marr Walk
Enjoy a variety of artists and music styles all afternoon. Visit stalls sharing information from sponsors. Talk to community organisations who support older people.

The Victorian Seniors Festival is a major state-wide festival for Senior Victorians. Presented by the State Government through the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing coordinates the festival and works closely with local councils across the state.
