Changing Places bathroom entry at Fed Square

Changing Places

Fed Square

Fed Square is an iconic destination and Melbourne’s gathering place, where visitors are immersed in unique cultural experiences and architecture that celebrate Victoria’s rich heritage and identity.

Fed Square is pleased to announce we have a registered Changing Places bathroom that is open and available for use.

Changing Places bathrooms provide suitable facilities for people who cannot use standard accessible toilets. This may include people with an acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, spina bifida, and motor neurone disease, as well as many other people with a disability.

As part of our Capital Works upgrades, a new registered Changing Places facility has now been built at Fed Square and is available for access during opening hours, from 6am–11.30pm. The facilities can be accessed using an MLAK key, or you can contact security via the intercom, located at the end of the Atrium corridor.

The Changing Places bathroom facilities include:

  • a height-adjustable adult-sized change table
  • a constant-charging ceiling track hoist system
  • a centrally-located peninsula toilet
  • adequate circulation spaces
  • an automatic door with a clear opening of 950 mm at a minimum
  • a privacy screen.
