However, our large array of shops, bars and cafes keep their own hours.

Looking for ways to get to Fed Square? Check out the options below:
Fed Square is part of Melbourne’s Free Tram Zone, which includes the area from the iconic Queen Victoria Market to Victoria Harbour in Docklands, up to Spring Street and over Flinders Street Station and Fed Square.
Travel on trams within this zone is free, and you won’t need a myki, however, if your journey starts or finishes outside the boundaries of the Free Tram Zone, you must touch on your myki at the reader in the normal way to make sure you have a valid ticket.
The Free Tram Zone signs at tram stops identify the boundaries of the zone.
Parking in the Melbourne CBD is easy with the Fed Square Car Park. Conveniently located on the Russell Street Extension and with a second entrance off Batman Ave, the Fed Square Car Park is safe, secure and provides quick and easy access to Fed Square, the MCG and sporting precinct, South Bank and Melbourne CBD and shopping districts.
Planning on riding your bike to Fed Square? We have various bicycle parking locations scattered throughout the square.
Fed Square boasts a unique mix of premium, flexible indoor and outdoor venues for hire, making it ideal for festivals, concerts, conferences, markets, exhibitions, launches, fashion shows, fun-runs and a huge range of other events.

Is Fed Square free?
Entry to Fed Square is always free. However, particular events may have their own entry costs. Check out What’s On to see each event’s details.
Are there public toilets?
Yes. Toilets are located outside Time Out Cafe and Bar and in The Atrium. Toilers close at 11pm and reopen at 7am. Please refer to the map.
Are there baby changing facilities?
Yes. Baby changing facilities are located with the toilets – outside Time Out Cafe and Bar and in The Atrium. Please refer to the map.
How do I contact security at Fed Square?
You can contact security by calling 9655 1999. For emergencies, please call 000.
How can I give feedback or make a complaint?

Is smoking & vaping allowed at Fed Square?
Fed Square is a smoke & vape free environment.
Smoking is permitted along the River Terrace & Flinders Street walkways only.
Can I bring alcohol to the Square?
Fed Square is an alcohol-free environment.
Can I ride my scooter, skateboard, or bicycle through Fed Square?
For the safety of our visitors, wheeled recreational devices are not permitted within the Square.
This includes:
- Scooters (human-powered and low-powered e-scooters)
- Bicycles
- Skateboards
- Roller blades
- Roller skates
We have 2 bike rack locations at Fed Square.
These can be found:
- Between Transport Bar and Princes Bridge on Swanston Street Forecourt
- At the rear of the Square along River Terrace
Can I bring my pet to Fed Square?
The Square is a public space inclusive of everyone, including our furry friends!
They’re welcome to join you, on a lead, at all outdoor spaces and events.

Are there water stations at Fed Square?
We have 3 water stations located at Fed Square.
These can be found:
- Atrium entrance in front of Beer Deluxe
- At the rear of the Square next to Mabu Mabu
- At the top of the stairs on Swanston Street Forecourt
- Along River Terrace

Are there all-gender toilets at Fed Square?
Our All-Gender Toilet with open urinals can be found in the Atrium, down the hallway by the stairs.
