Melbourne Fashion Week at Fed Square

M/FW at Fed Square is set to be a celebration of the incredible talent of established and emerging Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander designers, makers and creatives. All our runways are free, although you will need to reserve your tickets, as capacity is limited.

Looking to buy? We’ve got you covered with the the Trading Blak Pop Up Shop, where you can purchase some great finds, while supporting Indigenous-owned and run businesses and Indigenous artists, creatives and makers.

Trading Blak Pop Up Shop

16-22 November

Trading Blak is a collective of Aboriginal businesses working together to advocate transparency when trading in culture and empower our mob to succeed on our own terms. Visit the Trading Blak Pop Up Shop during M/FW to browse and purchase from some of Trading Blak’s emerging and established designers and creatives.

Fed Square Runway

16 November | 12:30pm & 1:30pm

In collaboration with creative director and stylist Rhys Ripper, proud Yorta Yorta man, this free runway is a celebration of Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander designers, both established and emerging. Featuring Amber Days, House of Darwin, Kirrikin, Liandra Swim and Nungala Creative. Registration from November 9.

M/FW Pop Up 2

17 November | 12:30pm & 1:30pm

Focusing on the themes of self-determination in action and Blak voices through fashion, this Pop Up runway will showcase a diverse selection of established and emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander brands. All telling a story of First Nations people’s continuing connection to the land and waterways.

21 November | 2pm & 3pm

This pop up draws on the theme of how fashion can frame our mindset and sets to prove that we can dress for happiness by using clothing to lift our mood. Celebrating a new season, the joy of fashion and Melbourne’s diverse community, watch on as looks from local favourites including Hew, Erik Yvon and Gun Shy move through the city’s dining precincts.
