As part of our Fed Kidz April school holiday activities, we bring you Fed Free Kidz Workshops: a heap of fun (and free!) workshops specially designed for kids. From zine-making, music-making, learning Indigenous dancing through to making slime: we’ve got it all! Check out the full program below, and don’t forget to book! Numbers are strictly limited.

Fed Free Kidz Workshops:

Indigenous Dance with Djirri Djirri Dancers

Wednesday 7 April | 9:30am - 10:30am (babies - 5 yrs), 11:00am - 12:00pm (6 - 12 yrs) | The Atrium

This dance workshop will involve learning dances from the Wurundjeri creation narrative, with Melbourne’s only Wurundjeri female dance group. Djirri Djirri means Willy Wagtail in Woiwurrung, the language of Wurundjeri people, the Traditional Custodians of Narrm (Melbourne) and surrounds. Participants will also learn the Woiwurrung language through singing and dancing.

Is your child a little artist? Do they love getting crafty? Come along and make your own personalised door hanger for your room and create your own Jigsaw puzzle! This session is particularly perfect for your little ones who are between 3 – 6 years old.

Classical music fun with Inventi Music

Thursday 8 April and 15 April | 11:00am - 12:00pm | The Atrium

Join the Inventi musicians for a fun-filled family event! Kids will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the instruments as well as ask lots of questions and meet the musicians! These sessions will explore the art of music-making and families will get to hear different types of fine classical music in this highly interactive event that both kids and adults will love.

What happens when we mix an acid and a base together? It causes a chemical reaction! Join Fizz Kidz for a bubbly, exploding program and make your own volcano experiment as well as Magic Sand that you can later take home and enjoy! This program is truly hours of FUN!

All Things Sparkles

Tuesday 13 April | 10:30am - 12:00pm | The Edge

This program is for the glitter and sparkle lovers! Join Fizz Kidz and make a magical dream catcher choosing your favourite glitters, pom poms, colour strings and sequins! Then, we will take it to the next level and make a gorgeous natural glitter face shimmer from scratch that you can use later when playing dress ups!
