Celebrate the diverse traditions, food, art, music and dance of Melbourne’s multicultural communities.

Over three weekends in November, Fed Square will come alive with three different community-led festivals.

 

Victorian Festival of Diwali

4 November, 11am-late | Main Square

Diwali, or the Hindi Festival of Lights, is India’s biggest annual holiday, and has been celebrated at Fed Square each year since 2006. Join the festivities, featuring live music, dance, workshops, henna and family-friendly activities.

Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)

5 November, 2pm-9pm | The Atrium

Experience the magic of Dia de Muertos where MexVic (the Mexican Social and Cultural Association of Victoria) will be celebrating life by honouring the dead.

Polish Festival at Fed Square

12 November, 10am-5pm | Main Square, River Terrace & The Edge

The Polish festival will be a feast for the senses, with traditional costume, dance and cuisine, such as the famous pierogi.

African Music and Cultural Festival

17-19 November, various times | Main Square & River Terrace

Over three days, the rhythms and colours of the African Music and Cultural Festival will celebrate the culture, music and food of 35 African countries.
