Boi Band Battle Royale

Get ready for the ultimate dance party and boy band showdown this Midsumma!

The Brunswick East Entertainment Festival (BEEF) is bringing its iconic drag king boy bands, Front St Bois and OuttaSYNC, to the Melbourne CBD for the Boi Band Battle Royale (BBBR). These groups will be performing at various locations throughout the city, competing for the title of Supreme Boy Band.

Imagine NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys going head-to-head in a dance-off set to a playlist of 90s bangers, all while dressed in baggy jeans, basketball gear, and sideways caps. These drag kings are instantly recognisable and beloved by all, with their unique blend of heartthrob and utter fool.

BBBR is an all-ages event that combines the energy of a dance party with the excitement of a boy band battle. It features 10 local drag kings, including BEEF associate artists Jet Stir, Sunanda Sachatrakul, PO PO MO CO, and emerging queer artists the Titwitches. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable event!
