What's On For School Holidays?

School holidays are back and for many parents, this means coming up with plans to keep the little ones entertained.

Fed Square has the whole brood sorted with fun activities for the kids and adults alike happening throughout the holiday period.

River Rink: 1-23 July

Ice skating along the Yarra is back! Your kids will get the chance to glide across the ice, with cute ice skating aids on hand for the shakier skaters. Once all the fun has been had on the ice there will be ‘wintery’ food stalls with toasties, hot chocolates and pizzas – yum!

Winter Feasts: 1 June-31 August

Is it just us, or do you also find yourself constantly hungry during winter? To feed those appetites, restaurants, bars and cafes at Fed Square will be offering winter specials with dishes the kids will love.

Wallace & Gromit and Friends: 29 June-29 October

ACMI’s new exhibition features Aardman’s claymation creations. The kids will wonder at characters from Wallace & Gromit, Shaun the Sheep and Chicken Run.

Every Brilliant Eye: Australian Art of the 1990s: 2 June-1 October

Give the kids a snapshot of a fun period of art. This NGV exhibition explores ’90s Australian art. It provides an in depth look at a period characterised by dramatic change as artists adopted new technologies and increasingly heterogeneous approaches to making art.
