This video series features a selection of visitors and event participants who will retell their most memorable experience at Fed Square.

You can share your most memorable experience via social media with #FedSquareFlashbacks. Whether it’s a selfie of you and a celebrity or a story about a new friendship sparked at Fed Square, we want to see your Flashbacks.

In 2010, Oprah Winfrey visited Melbourne in a whirlwind Australian tour.  She came to Fed Square to greet her Melbourne fans and was blown away by the reception. Thousands and thousands of fans packed into the Square, some waiting hours to catch just a glimpse of the talk show queen. Karolina was one of those fans. Since a teen Karolina has loved Oprah. Each day after school she would come home and watch taped Oprah Winfrey shows where she learned about the world outside the tough time she was having while growing up. Now, Oprah has been her inspiration for so many of her life achievements including her career, her friendships and even how she met her husband. Watch Karolina share her memory of the day Oprah came to Fed Square.

Flash back to Cadel Evans’s victory lap at Fed Square for his 2011 Tour de France win, when thousands of Victorians came out to show their support for the Australian champion including cyclist Grace.

In the first video in the series we join George to flash back to the Homeless World Cup in 2008 by The Big Issue – an event helping to change the lives disadvantaged people from around the world.

More flashbacks coming soon. Subscribe on YouTube to be one of the first to view the next video.
