Winter Garden at Fed Square is a joyous and playful profusion of handcrafted flowers in a riot of glorious colour to brighten our midwinter days!
Fed Square’s The Atrium is coming alive with a beautiful synergy of the natural and the created: hundred of handknitted woollen flowers arranged in a magnificent garden, free to view for all.
Thousands of individual blooms both botanical and fantastical have been created by hundreds of makers across Australia and curated into a stunning series of colourful floral motifs mounted onto recycled bicycle wheels and hung throughout a walk-through thoroughfare for an intimate, wondrous experience.
It’s the latest creation spearheaded by Lynn Berry OAM, who also curated the internationally-renowned 5000 Poppies exhibition in 2015.
It’s a simple and timely reminder that even on the darkest winter day, spring, with all its attendant blooming beauty, is hiding just around the corner!
