Hang out inside a giant, interactive hand-knitted egg for a quadraphonic sound and light journey featuring local band, Amplified Elephants.

Lala Lullaby is a sound performance installation conceived and built by artists Richard Allen and Phillipa Willison.

The egg has been spun from over 30 fleeces of organic Alpaca wool sourced from breeders around Australia and was crafted with the aim of evoking a nurturing, ‘lullaby’ sensation for adults. Swinging from the apex of a pyramid, the motion of the egg generates a dynamic sensory experience of sound, movement and light.

Immerse yourself in a totally unique soundscape that combines electronic instruments driven by movement sensors and live improvised performance from the Amplified Elephants and James Hullick. Curl up inside and enjoy the ride!

Presented in collaboration with Footscray Community Arts Centre, JOLT Inc. and The Click Clack Project.

The Light in Winter is proudly supported by a range of partners and we thank them for their contributions.
